Solid state technology is rapidly changing the lighting industry. LEDs
offer the unprecedented
ability to control light, both in intensity and color, and to create
dynamic effects. |

New optical challenges
with Solid-State technology.
Who wants to look at a heatsink?
Lightolier luminaires are designed to utilize the entire fixture as a heatsink to achieve thermal
equilibrium; this keeps the LEDs running cooler resulting in increased light output, higher
reliability and long life.
To achieve uniformity in both color and intensity, the light from multiple
point sources must be mixed together. This blending becomes even more critical when it involves different color LEDs.
Meticulous attention was paid to the design of the heatsinks; the housings and fins are recessed, integrated or concealed wherever possible without compromising effectiveness. The result is unsurpassed performance from a product that is either pleasing to look at or visually blends into the space.

Functional white light plus dynamic color provides maximum design flexibility.

Lightolier's system approach also led to the development of the RGBA (red, green, blue, amber) technology for color changing products. The amber component provides the ability to produce high quality warm white light. Lightolier ColorWash and ColorSpot products are the first to deliver the flexibility to match the color of other white light sources and provide vibrant, dynamic color changing effects.
Innovative True Tone technology guarantees consistent color output with no discernible difference from fixture to fixture or color shift over time. Each luminaire is precisely calibrated at the factory to account for inherent variations from LED to LED. Sophisticated sensors and software monitor light output of each color and continuously adjust power to each channel to maintain consistent color output over life. |
